Check the airport and terminal first
Some cities have more than one airport and large airports have multiple terminals. Use the airline’s current itinerary and airport information to confirm both ends of the journey. Include terminal transfers, baggage collection or re-checking where relevant. Do not estimate a connection only from the scheduled landing and departure times.
Compare the complete transport options
Compare official rail, airport buses, licensed taxis or a confirmed private transfer by the full door-to-door journey. Check operating periods, luggage space, steps and the final walking segment. A rail option may still require a change or a walk to the hotel; a vehicle option can be affected by traffic. Current prices and timetables must be checked with the operator.
Make a pick-up instruction specific
For a booked pick-up, agree on the terminal, arrival level, meeting sign or exact landmark, waiting arrangements and a working contact method. Share flight changes through the agreed channel. Tell the provider about group size, large luggage, child-seat or accessibility needs before confirmation. Avoid providing unnecessary personal or payment information to unverified people.
Transit entry needs separate verification
A long layover does not automatically allow entry or a city visit. Eligibility depends on current immigration rules and the traveller’s documents and itinerary. Check the National Immigration Administration and relevant airline or airport for your circumstances before booking an outing. Leave a substantial return margin and keep the visit simple; remain airside if requirements or timings are unsuitable.
